Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan has announced that starting tomorrow (25-September 2025), Malaysians can check their eligibility for the Budi Madani RON95 (Budi95) fuel subsidy.
Speaking to The Star, he said that Malaysians can check their eligibility by keying in their MyKad number on this portal, www.budimadani.gov.my.

He added that a one-time MyKad activation is needed upon first-time use, after which, Malaysians would just need to verify via their MyKad, pay, and refuel.
To refuel, Malaysians would need to verify their MyKad at terminals placed at the petrol pump itself, or at the counter at the station. They can also verify their MyKad via selected e-wallet applications and various petrol companies’ apps.
How much quota are Malaysians entitled to a month?
Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah stated that the government set the monthly limit of 300 litres based on data from the Department of Statistics Malaysia, saying “If we had set the cut-off at 140 litres per month, 90% of Malaysians would qualify, but the government said, ‘We want to ensure the majority of people benefit.’ Thus, the cut-off we decided upon is one that covers 99% of the population,” he said.
