2026 Leapmotor B10 spied in Malaysia

It looks like Leapmotor may be welcoming a new family member sooner than expected, as spy shots of the 2026 Leapmotor B10 have appeared on social media.

Courtesy of the Malaysian Electric Vehicle Owners Club (MyEVOC), we can now see that Leapmotor’s upcoming C-segment EV SUV has landed in Malaysia.

Despite wearing copious amount of camouflage on the rear-end, the EV SUV can be easily recognised by its rear lower bumper piece, one-piece LED tail light, and wheels.

What is the 2026 Leapmotor B10?

While the B10 name may suggest that the model is a B-segment SUV, it’s not so straightforward, as China’s vehicle classification system works differently. As such, the B10 is in fact a C-segment EV SUV that has its sights set on the Proton eMas 7 and BYD Atto 3 – two of the most popular C-segment EV SUVs in Malaysia.

In order to stay above the competition, Leapmotor has given the B10 the largest battery capacity at 67.1 kWh. For context, the eMas 7 tops out at 60.22 kWh and the Atto 3 tops out at 60.48 kWh.

As for charging, the 2026 Leapmotor B10 utilizes a 400-volt electrical architecture, allowing the EV SUV to DC fast charge up to 168 kW, charging the battery from 30% to 80% state-of-charge (SoC) in about 20 minutes. AC charging, on the other hand, goes up to 11 kW.

The larger battery capacity and lower weight directly translate into a superior range compared to its rivals too, with the 67.1-kWh-equipped B10 variants offering a WLTP range of up to 434 km (eMas 7: 345 km to 410 km WLTP, Atto 3: 420 km WLTP).

According to Leapmotor, variants with the larger 67.1-kWh LFP battery pack output 160 kW (218 PS) and 240 Nm. The 0-100 km/h sprint is completed in 6.8 seconds, while top speed is rated at 170 km/h.

When will Leapmotor launch the B10 in Malaysia?

Hang in there – spy shots indicate that the local launch is a matter of “when”, rather than “if”.

After all, our neighbours in Thailand recently launched the B10 there, priced between THB 688,000 (~RM 89k) to THB 788,000 (~RM 102k).

For reference, the Proton eMas 7’s twin, the Geely EX5, is priced between THB 799,000 (~RM 104k) to THB 899,000 (~RM 117k), while the Atto 3 goes for THB 799,900 (~RM 104k) to THB 959,900 (~RM 125k).

For the Leapmotor B10 to remain competitive in Malaysia, this C-segment EV SUV has to be priced right. At the moment, its larger sibling, the C10, is priced from RM 125,000. In order to be priced competitively, the B10 would need to be locally-assembled (CKD) to be priced below the RM 100k mark.
