CKD Malaysia GWM Wey G9 exported to Thailand, Malaysia launch early-2026

GWM Malaysia has marked yet another significant milestone in its ASEAN growth journey with the first CKD shipment of the GWM Wey G9 to Thailand. It signals a strengthened commitment toward regional collaboration, expanded New Energy Vehicle (NEV) capabilities, and cross-border industrial development.

This is part of GWM’s goal to build a robust regional supply chain and manufacturing ecosystem within ASEAN. Thailand launched the GWM Wey G9 back in early-December 2025, priced at THB 2,349,000 (~RM 303k).

Witnessed by GWM Malaysia’s Managing Director Mr Cui Anqi and Chief Operating Officer En Roslan Abdullah, the shipment of CKD GWM Wey G9 to Thailand is expected to advance local manufacturing competitiveness, enhance vendor development, and elevate Malaysia’s position within GWM’s larger regional goals.
