
Photoshop whiz Theophilus Chin is at it again, this time rendering what could potentially be the Proton Saga Cross.
Much have been covered about Proton’s Advanced Modular Architecture (AMA) platform, as Proton revealed that the AMA platform will be the basis of their upcoming models.

During the Proton Tech Showcase in December 2025, the company revealed that the AMA platform will underpin a number of upcoming models, including MPV and SUV models, with powertrain options likely to even include hybrid systems.

Theophilus took the face of the Saga MC3 and grafted it onto the Fiat Pulse as the base, creating a handsome-looking SUV.

With chunky plastic fender lining, black body cladding, and silver “skid plates”, the Saga Cross rendering is every bit a crossover. That said, it remains to be seen how the actual Saga Cross (if the actual name is as such) looks.

As for powertrain options, there’s a likelihood that the Saga Cross could feature the same 1.5-litre i-GT engine as the Saga MC3, though without the Punch-sourced CVT. There may be a possibility that Proton could offer a petrol-electric hybrid powertrain with the Saga Cross.
