It’s no secret that Geely will be adapting the Proton Saga MC3 as their model for the Philippines market, as disclosed by Geely back in December 2025.

Now, rendering whizz Theophilus Chin went to work and gave the Proton Saga MC3 a touch of Geely, creating what could potentially be the Geely Saga.

Firstly, he adapted the front fascia of the latest Geely Boyue and Geely Emgrand, creating a look that’s distinctively his, yet unmistakably Geely. This front fascia is then merged to the front fascia of the Saga.

Theo also noted that the Saga’s bonnet shape and the part where the bonnet meets the grille allows the Boyue grille to fit in without much fiddling. Even the headlights that are angled on the sides are very Geely-esque.

Towards the rear, not much has changed, apart from the Geely script that replaces the Proton script on the full-width LED tail lights.

The end result is a surprisingly handsome-looking entry-level sedan that is recognisable as a Geely, one that could signal an interesting future for AMA-based Proton models.

Back home, the Proton Saga MC3 is priced from RM 38,990 to RM 49,990. All variants feature a new Aurobay-sourced 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that outputs 120 PS and 150 Nm, with drive sent to the front wheels via a four-speed automatic (1.5 Standard & 1.5 Executive) or a CVT automatic (1.5 Premium).
