Slightly less than 2 years since its global debut, the all-new, third-generation Audi Q5 has arrived in Malaysia. PHS Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM), the official distributor of Audi vehicles in Malaysia has just launched the 2026 Audi Q5 here.
Overview
For the Malaysian market, PHSAM is offering two variants of the Audi Q5:
- Audi Q5 Advanced: RM 352,990
- Audi Q5 Sportback S line: RM 421,990
Both variants are built on Audi’s Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture. The Q5 Advanced is positioned as the regular SUV, while the Q5 Sportback S line takes the sportier route with a coupe SUV design.
Exterior
The Q5 Advanced takes the understated route with sculpted contours, 19-inch 10-Arm Aero wheels, and Advanced-spec grille and bumper treatment. The Q5 Sportback S line is sportier, with a sweeping coupe roofline, S line grille with side and seat emblems, S line bumper, 20-inch Audi Sport 5-twin-spoke twist wheels, and red brake calipers.
Both Q5 variants sold in Malaysia get Matrix LED headlights with Digital Light Signatures and a Coming/Leaving Home animation, along with LED Rear Lights Pro. The Q5 Sportback S line adds a Next Generation Projection Brake Light that projects a warning signal onto the rear window under braking.
Colour options common to both variants are Grenadine Red, Mythos Black, and Glacier White. The Q5 Sportback S line additionally offers Daytona Grey Pearl and District Green Metallic, while the Q5 Advanced adds Navarra Blue and Tambora Grey.
Interior
The Q5 Advanced gets Lime Sediment Natural inlays, refined front and rear seats, and 3-zone Deluxe air conditioning with touch panel control. Boot space is rated at 520 litres, expandable to 1,473 litres with the rear seats folded.
The Q5 Sportback S line steps up with Carbon Micro Twill inlays, a flat-bottom S line steering wheel, sports front seats with pronounced side bolsters, and seat ventilation. Boot space is marginally less at 515 litres, or 1,415 litres with seats folded. The Sportback S line also gets a head-up display (HUD) and the Bang & Olufsen 3D Premium Sound System with Fraunhofer Symphoria technology.
Both variants share a curved 14.5-inch OLED MMI panoramic display and an 11.9-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus digital instrument cluster. The MMI touchscreen offers haptic feedback, real-time traffic, and Google satellite maps.
The Audi Assistant handles natural language voice commands. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on both, as are wireless fast chargers with adaptive cooling and a Digital Key function via smartphone. Four Type-C USB ports are fitted front and rear, with the Sportback S line supporting up to 60W front and 100W rear.
Powertrain
The Q5 Advanced uses a turbocharged 2.0-litre TFSI four-cylinder petrol engine producing 199 PS, while the Q5 Sportback S line draws from the same engine family but tuned to 272 PS. Both are paired with a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission.
The Sportback S line gets quattro permanent all-wheel drive (AWD) and a sportier suspension tune. Audi Drive Select is standard on both, allowing adjustment of throttle response, steering weight, and suspension characteristics on the fly.

Warranty & Aftersales
Both variants come with a 2-year unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty, 5 years of complimentary maintenance, and 5 years of roadside assistance. The Audi Assurance Package (AAP) extends the manufacturer’s warranty by a further 3 years, bring the total to 5 years or up to 150,000 km, whichever comes first. The AAP also includes 5 years or 75,000km of maintenance service and 5 years of roadside assistance.
