
Malaysia’s best-selling EV, the Proton eMas 7, has just receive an update – it now gains a larger 68.39-kWh battery pack. The new range topper made its debut at the 2026 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (2026 KLIMS).
Called the 2026 Proton eMas 7 Premium Plus, the C-SUV’s range now gets bumped up to 450 km WLTP, marking a mild upgrade over the Premium’s 410 km WLTP. The latter’s battery is rated at 60.22 kWh.
This variant is priced from RM 125,800, though for a limited time, Proton is offering a limited-time RM 7,000 rebate that reduces the price down to RM 118,800.

Although there is an increase in power, the front-mounted motor soldiers on, deploying 218 PS and 320 Nm to both front wheels. The larger battery does hurt the 0-100 km/h sprint, as the Premium Plus takes 7.4 seconds to complete the sprint, versus the Premium’s 7.1 seconds.

Despite the larger battery capacity, the Proton eMas 7 Premium Plus retains DC fast charging capability of up to 115 kW, enabling charging from 30% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes, consistent with the Premium variant.



New features introduced on the Premium Plus include dual front massage seats, a powered front passenger seat with 4-way adjustment and memory function, as well as an integrated passenger leg rest for enhanced comfort during longer journeys.
