
At the upcoming 2025 Malaysia Autoshow, GWM Malaysia is gearing up to launch the highly anticipated 2025 GWM Tank 500 Hybrid. The company has previously previewed the hybrid SUV at an event a couple of weeks ago.

Bookings for the 2025 GWM Tank 500 Hybrid commenced on 14 April 2025 and has received strong demand nationwide.
For the Malaysian market, the 2025 GWM Tank 500 Hybrid is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that outputs 244 PS and 380 Nm, paired to an electric motor that does 106 PS and 268 Nm.

According to GWM, the combined system output of the Tank 500 is 346 PS and 648 Nm. Drive is sent to all four wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive system with selectable modes.
The 2025 GWM Tank 500 is a large SUV, measuring 5,078 mm long, 1,934 mm wide, and has a height of 1,905 mm. The Tank 500’s wheelbase is 2,850 mm.
As a point of reference, that would put the Tank 500 comparable to SUVs like the Volvo EX90 (5,037 mm x 1,964 mm x 1,747 mm, wheelbase 2,985 mm) or Toyota Land Cruiser (4,995 mm x 1,990 mm x 1,950 mm, wheelbase 2,850 mm).
The 2025 GWM Tank 500 Hybrid is expected to be priced below RM 350,000.
