What other features does the Tank 500 HEV offer?

Being GWM Malaysia’s current flagship model (at the time of writing), the Tank 500 HEV is properly loaded, offering goodies like automatic LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, LED front and rear fog lights, large 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels wrapped with 265/50R20 tyres, front and rear parking sensors, and power-retractable side steps – the latter useful for ingress and egress into this tall SUV.

Moving into the cabin and it’s a luxurious affair, with Nappa leather upholstery on the seats, as well as an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, boss switch for the rear passenger seat, wood trimmed interior parts, tri-zone automatic air-conditioning, aluminium pedals, Qi wireless charger and rear air vents.

On the tech side of things, the 2025 GWM Tank 500 HEV offers a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, while the 14.6-inch infotainment display supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which routes audio through a 12-speaker Infinity sound system.

In terms of after-sales support, GWM Malaysia is backing the 2025 GWM Tank 500 HEV with a 6-year/unlimited mileage warranty and an 8-year/200,000-km hybrid system warranty. The “lifetime warranty” for the engine and transmission is similar to the Tank 300, which means that it’s only valid for the first owner and cannot be transferred to the subsequent owner.
