Overview

The 2026 iCaur V23 is the second model in iCaur’s line-up to feature a retro-futuristic design, after the 03. Between the two models, there’s no clear cut answer to as which is the bigger or which is the smaller sibling, as explained below.

For the Malaysian market, iCaur is offering two variants of the V23 – 2WD and iWD.

Prices start from RM 119,800 for the 2WD variant, and from RM 132,800 for the fully-loaded iWD variant. Both prices are on-the-road, without insurance.

Versus the iCaur 03, the entry-level 2WD variant are priced the same, but the top-spec 03 iWD is cheaper at RM 129,800.

For the first 1,000 registrations, iCaur Malaysia is introducing an Early Bird Package designed to add meaningful value to the ownership experience. Every purchase includes a complimentary 7-kW AC charger worth RM 3,400, offering customers convenient home charging from the very start.

To further elevate day-to-day usability, the package includes an auxiliary 6.86-inch instrument cluster unit valued at RM 1,000. In addition, buyers will receive an extended battery, electric motor and power control unit warranty covering up to ten-years or 200,000 km.

Like the iCaur 03, the iCaur V23 is fully-imported (CBU) from China, with plans to locally-assemble (CKD) the model being in the pipelines.

Exterior

With retro-futuristic SUVs being all the rage right now, the 2026 iCaur V23 adopts a boxy design, albeit one that embraces that design language more than the 03.

There’s a pair of round headlights that sits atop a wide front bumper that gives the iCaur V23 its unmistakable looks.

Towards the rear, in the spot where the spare wheel would have been sits a storage box that can accommodate small items. The third brake light is also housed on this square storage box.

2026 iCaur V23 wheels

The entry-level 2WD variant gets 19-inch alloy wheels, while the top-spec iWD offers a set of 21-inch wheels.

Colour options of the 2026 iCaur V23 include:

  • Army Green
  • Carbon Crystal Black
  • Gravel Grey
  • Khaki White
  • Off-Road Orange
  • Slate Silver

In terms of dimensions, the 2026 iCaur V23 measures 4,220 mm long, 1,915 mm wide, and 1,845 mm tall, with a 2,735 mm long wheelbase. Versus its sibling, the iCaur 03, the earlier model measures 4,406 mm long, 1,910 mm wide, 1,715 mm tall, with a wheelbase that spans 2,715 mm.

As such, the iCaur 03 is physically longer than the V23, but the V23 is taller and offers a longer wheelbase.

Interior

Stepping into the cabin, the rugged theme continues – there’s large and chunky physical controls for the air-conditioning, drive mode selector and audio controls, as well as contrasting orange highlights on the air vents.

There’s a massive 15.4-inch touchscreen display that serves as infotainment and (presumably) as a digital instrument cluster as the iCaur V23 doesn’t come with one. iCaur does offer a multi-function meter in China, though it remains to be seen if this will be offered here.

Said infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which sends audio through a 7-speaker audio system – no branded sound system here.

Powertrain

Starting with the 2WD variant, it gets a rear-mounted electric motor that does 100 kW (136 PS) and 180 Nm, powered by a 59.9-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack.

Under the NEDC test cycle, the 2WD variant returns up to 360 km. The 0-100 km/h sprint is completed in 11 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 140 km/h.

In terms of charging, the 2WD accepts up to 85 kW of DC fast charging and up to 6.6 kW of AC charging.

Moving on to the iWD variant and it adds a front-mounted electric motor for a combined system output of 155 kW (211 PS) and 292 Nm, powered by a larger 81.8-kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery pack.

This larger battery pack also helps to improve the NEDC range to 430 km. The century sprint is completed in 7.5 seconds, while top speed is identical at 140 km/h.

The iWD can recharge up to 104 kW of DC fast charging, while AC charging is the same, at 6.6 kW.
