Following the launch of the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe and 2025 Hyundai Tucson facelift, Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has also launched the 2025 Hyundai Staria – it’s space shuttle-looking people mover.

In this round of update, HMY has reintroduced the luxurious 7-seater variant, aptly named Prestige 7-seater. Prices of the updated 2025 Hyundai Staria as are follow:

  • Staria 10-seater Style: RM 179,888
  • Staria 10-seater Prime: RM 196,888
  • Staria 10-seater Prestige: RM 209,888
  • Staria 7-seater Prestige: RM 267,888

What’s new on the 2025 Hyundai Staria?

Unlike the radically-restyled Santa Fe or mildly-restyled Tucson, the Staria’s update exercise is mild – there’s a new Hyundai emblem and key fob. The Prestige 7-seater can be visually distinguished by its brass finishing on the Hyundai badge, body trim pieces, side mirrors, front grille, and door handles.

Additionally, the 2025 Hyundai Staria also gets rain-sensing wipers on the exterior, while the interior now gets 7 USB-C charging ports, replacing the USB-A on the older model. That being said, the USB port for interfacing with the infotainment system remains as a USB-A socket.

2025 Hyundai Staria Premium Relaxation seats

The Prestige 7-seater variant can be further distinguished by its dual-sunroof, premium relaxation seats, and 12-speaker Bose sound system. The Style, Prime and Prestige 10-seater variants make do with a standard speaker system.

In terms of safety, the Hyundai SmartSense ADAS kit is exclusive for the top-spec Prestige 7-seater variant. It gets High Beam Assist (HBA), Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Lane Following Assist (LFA), Driver Attention Warning (DAW) with Leading Vehicle Departure Alert Function (LVDA), Blind-Spot Collision-Warning, Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Safe Exit Assist (SEA).

What remains unchanged is the powertrain. As before, a 2.2-litre turbodiesel provides motivation for the Staria, which outputs 177 PS at 3,800 rpm and 430 Nm of torque from 1,500 rpm to 2,500 rpm. The sole transmission option is an eight-speed automatic.

Only two colours are available for the Staria: Abyss Black Pearl and Creamy White.

Like every other Hyundai model launched today, the 2025 Hyundai Staria is backed by an 8-year/160,000-km warranty, as well as free maintenance labour for the first 3 session.
