Best-selling Chinese EVs in February 2026: eMas 5 reigns supreme, Bingo enters the charts

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has released the latest vehicle sales data, with February figures now available on the official dashboard.

As usual, we have compiled the top-10 best-selling Chinese EVs in Malaysia, updated for February 2026.

Kicking our list off is none other than the Proton eMas 5 with a total of 1,562 units sold last month. With such a sales figure, the eMas 5 has pushed its larger sibling, the eMas 7 into second place. Year-to-date (YTD) sales figure for the eMas 5 stands at 4,630 units.

With 240 units of the Proton eMas 7 sold last month, Proton has secured the top two spots in February. YTD sales figure for the eMas 7 is at 448 units.

iCaur V23 Retro Edition front view

Trailing in third place is the iCaur V23 with 179 units sold. This retro-futuristic EV SUV sold one unit less than the eMas 7 in its YTD figure, coming in at 447 units.

As for fourth place, it is the long-standing BYD Atto 3. Last month, BYD sold 169 units of the Atto 3, bringing its YTD sales figure to 558 units.

Sitting in fifth spot is the MG4 EV, which is a pleasant surprise as this model wasn’t featured on our top-10 list before. Last month, MG sold 144 units of this sporty RWD EV hatchback, with its YTD sales figure at 229 units.

In sixth is the Zeekr 7X with 142 units sold. This premium EV SUV is definitely gaining traction here in Malaysia. YTD sales figure currently stands at 568 units.

Behind that in seventh spot is the iCaur 03. Like the V23, the iCaur 03 is a boxy EV SUV, albeit with a tad bit more futuristic look. Last month iCaur sold 115 units of the 03, bringing its YTD sales figure to 298 units.

Sitting in the eighth spot is the BYD Seal 6 with 110 units sold. This C-segment, RWD EV sedan has been gaining grounds in Malaysia, with its YTD figure currently at 305 units.

The BYD Sealion 7 clinches on to the ninth spot with 107 units sold, bringing its YTD sales figure to 303 units.

In tenth spot is a new entrant in the form of the TQ Wuling Bingo. Last month, 66 units found new homes, bringing its YTD figure to 101 units.

What about the Perodua QV-E you ask? Well, last month, the JPJ data revealed the Perodua registered one unit of the QV-E. All’s not doom and gloom for Perodua, as they have mentioned that they are working to localise parts for the QV-E, which they hope to bring prices down.
